Europe was once a great promise and a promising utopia for peaceful coexistence. In the meantime, many people have become disillusioned with “Project Europe” and see the EU as nothing more than a “bureaucratic monster”. But to what extent does Brussels actually influence our lives in Brandenburg? What advantages do we have here in Germany from the EU? And what opportunities do we as civil society have to help shape Europe? Our discussion partner is Dr. Johann Wagner from Team Europe Direct, an expert on various EU policy areas in the fields of social affairs, asylum policy and structural policy. His dissertation was published as a book under the title: “Political consulting institutes, Europe and the Maghreb 1990-2000”
